Bland AI pricing plans at a glance
Bland AI bills per minute of talk time. Three plans are listed on its pricing page, checked 28 October 2026.
| Plan | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Start | $0.14/min, $0 platform fee | 2 credits + inbound number ($15/mo value), $0.05/transfer min, 10 concurrent calls, 100 calls/day, 10 knowledge bases |
| Build | $0.12/min + $299/month platform fee | $0.04/transfer min, 50 concurrent calls, 2,000 calls/day, 50 knowledge bases |
| Enterprise | Custom | Concurrency sized to volume, on-prem/VPC, forward deployed engineer, BAA, SSO, data residency |
Bland says the per-minute rate covers the LLM, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech, with no token charges or model-provider pass-throughs. That is a cleaner structure than platforms where you pay each vendor in the stack separately.
The Start plan caps you at 10 concurrent calls and 100 calls per day. Build raises that to 50 concurrent calls and 2,000 calls per day. Enterprise is contracted to volume and adds compliance and deployment options, but Bland does not publish Enterprise pricing. Compliance documentation is available under NDA on the Enterprise plan.
What does one month of Bland AI cost at three volumes?
We modelled three monthly volumes using Bland's published rates. Assumptions: average call length of 3.0 minutes, all calls handled by the AI, no transfers, and telephony excluded because it is billed separately at pass-through cost.
100 calls/month (300 minutes) on Start: 300 min x $0.14/min = $42/month
300 calls/month (900 minutes) on Start: 900 min x $0.14/min = $126/month
600 calls/month (1,800 minutes) on Build: 1,800 min x $0.12/min = $216, plus $299 platform fee = $515/month
Two things to note. First, 600 calls per month averages 20 per day, which fits under the Start plan's 100 calls/day cap, so you could stay on Start and pay 1,800 x $0.14 = $252/month instead. Build only wins on price once the per-minute saving of $0.02/min exceeds the $299 fee, which happens at 14,950 minutes per month. Second, these figures exclude transfer minutes and telephony, both of which add to the real bill.

What charges sit outside the plan price?
The headline per-minute rate is not the whole bill. Bland lists these charges separately:
- Transfer time. Warm and live transfers bill at $0.05/min on Start or $0.04/min on Build. If your agent transfers 10% of a 300-minute month (30 minutes), that adds $1.50 on Start. Bring-your-own-telephony (BYOT) customers pay no transfer fees.
- Telephony. Phone carriage is billed separately from the AI rate, either on your own carrier (Twilio or SIP trunks) or on Bland's built-in Twilio at pass-through cost. Bland does not publish the pass-through rate, so we cannot model it.
- Platform fee. Build adds $299/month on top of usage. Start has no platform fee.
Bland does not publish per-number rental costs beyond the inbound number included with Start, and it does not publish overage terms for the daily call caps. Ask sales what happens when you exceed 100 calls/day on Start before you commit.
Is there a free way to try Bland AI?
Yes. The Start plan includes 2 credits plus an inbound number (listed as a $15/month value) with no card required. That is enough to build an agent and make real test calls, though 2 credits will not last long at $0.14/min.
We have not made test calls with Bland AI yet, so we cannot say how far the free credits stretch in practice. Before you spend anything, run a structured test script: our guide on how to test an AI receptionist covers the call scenarios worth checking.
Which cheaper or simpler options should you compare?
Bland AI is a developer platform aimed at regulated industries. If you want published rates or a lower entry point, two alternatives are worth a look:
- Retell AI publishes a per-minute range of $0.07-$0.31/min depending on the voice, model, and telephony you choose. At our 3.0-minute average, 100 calls/month lands between $21 and $93. Signup includes $10 in free credits and 20 free concurrent calls, with no contract.
- Vapi starts at $0 to begin with $5 in free credits, and lists a $0.05/min hosting fee. That is a floor, not a total: transcriber, model, voice, and transport costs stack on top, so the real per-minute rate is higher.
Both are developer platforms like Bland. If you want a flat monthly price with telephony included and no engineering work, none of these three is the right shape. Our AI receptionist cost guide explains the pricing models across the category, and the directory lists flat-rate options.
Who should pick Bland AI on price?
The pricing structure fits a specific buyer. Pick Bland if you are a regulated organization that wants one per-minute rate covering the full voice stack, with compliance certifications (SOC 2 Type I and II, HIPAA with BAA, GDPR, PCI DSS self-attested, FedRAMP 20x Class A, ISO 27001) already in place.
Skip it if you are a small team wanting a flat monthly price with telephony included, or if you need published Enterprise pricing before talking to sales. The $299/month Build fee only pays off above roughly 14,950 minutes a month, and the Start plan's 100 calls/day cap limits how far the cheaper tier scales.
