How much does Fin cost?
Fin charges per outcome, not per seat or per minute. An outcome counts when a customer confirms the issue is resolved, doesn't ask for more help after Fin responds, or Fin completes a workflow including handoffs. You're charged at most once per conversation even if Fin answers multiple questions, and if a conversation reopens, the outcome is refunded. If Fin can't answer or the customer asks for a human, you pay nothing.
Entry points, checked 28 October 2026:
- $0.99 per outcome with your existing helpdesk, $49/month minimum (includes 50 outcomes), no seat costs or setup fees
- $19 per seat per month + $0.99 per outcome on the Intercom helpdesk plan
- $1.99 per outcome for voice — double the standard rate, and you have to contact sales
Spending limits and alerts are built in, so you can cap monthly exposure. For the full vendor profile, see our Fin review.
Fin pricing plans at a glance
| Plan | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Fin AI Agent with Intercom helpdesk | $19 per seat/mo + $0.99 per outcome | Single platform combining Intercom helpdesk with Fin AI Agent |
| Fin with your existing helpdesk | $0.99 per outcome, $49/month minimum | Works with Salesforce, Zendesk, Freshdesk and others; includes 50 outcomes; no seat costs or setup fees |
| Pro add-on | From $100 per workspace/mo | Advanced AI features, Operator agent, analysis of 500 conversations/month, 6,000 credits per month |
| Copilot add-on | $29 per teammate/mo | Personal AI assistant in the inbox; 10 Copilot and 10 AI Auto-translation conversations free per agent/mo |
The existing-helpdesk route is the cheaper entry if you already pay for Zendesk, Salesforce or Freshdesk seats. The Intercom route makes sense if you're choosing a helpdesk anyway and want Fin natively integrated.
What one month of Fin costs at three volumes
Assumptions: existing-helpdesk plan, chat/email/social outcomes only (no voice), no add-ons. Arithmetic uses the published $0.99 per outcome rate and the $49/month minimum that includes 50 outcomes.
- Low volume — 30 resolved conversations: 30 outcomes is below the 50-outcome minimum, so you pay the floor: $49/month. Effective cost per resolution: $49 ÷ 30 = $1.63.
- Mid volume — 500 resolved conversations: 500 × $0.99 = $495/month. The minimum is already cleared.
- High volume — 3,000 resolved conversations: 3,000 × $0.99 = $2,970/month.
On the Intercom helpdesk plan, add seats: five teammates at $19 per seat per month adds $95, so 500 outcomes would run $495 + $95 = $590/month.
Voice changes the math. At $1.99 per outcome, 500 phone resolutions would cost $995 — but voice pricing requires contacting sales, so treat that figure as the published rate, not a quote.
Charges outside the plan price
- Voice outcomes: $1.99 each. Double the standard $0.99 rate, and only available by contacting sales. No published self-serve voice pricing.
- Pro add-on: from $100 per workspace/month. Adds advanced AI features, the Operator agent, analysis of 500 conversations per month and 6,000 credits per month.
- Copilot add-on: $29 per teammate/month. A personal AI assistant in the inbox. Each agent gets 10 Copilot and 10 AI Auto-translation conversations free per month before charges apply.
- The $49 minimum. On the existing-helpdesk plan, you pay $49/month even if you resolve fewer than 50 conversations.
What you won't pay for: conversations Fin can't answer, customers who ask for a human, and reopened conversations (the outcome is refunded).
Is there a free way to try Fin?
Yes. Fin offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. It includes all features, Fin itself, and the add-ons — so you can test the Pro and Copilot extras during the trial window rather than paying to find out.
The trial is the right place to measure your real resolution rate, because that number drives everything in this pricing model. Our guide on how to test an AI receptionist covers the same method: run real conversations, count what resolves without human help, and project your monthly outcome volume from that sample.
Cheaper or simpler options than Fin
Fin's $0.99 per outcome is the lowest published per-resolution rate among the helpdesk AI tools we track, but the structure isn't for everyone. Alternatives:
- Zendesk AI agents — $19/agent/month paid yearly for the base plan, with AI agents included from Suite Team ($55/agent/month paid yearly) (Zendesk AI agents pricing). Extra automated resolutions cost $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go, and plans include 5–10 resolutions per agent per month. More expensive per resolution, but predictable if you want one vendor for helpdesk and AI.
- Freshdesk with Freddy AI — $19/agent/month billed annually, with the first 500 AI sessions included on Growth, Pro and Enterprise (Freshdesk with Freddy AI pricing). After that, $49 per 100 sessions. Session-based rather than outcome-based, so you pay for attempts, not just resolutions.
- Ada — quote-only enterprise pricing across voice, messaging and email. No published rates or self-serve trial; budget for a sales process.
